HMIS Data Quality
Data Quality refers to the integrity of the information in a given system. For the purposes of this guide, the system is the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) utilized by the Memphis/Shelby County community. Typically, evaluating the integrity of HMIS is based on measures associated with Timeliness, Completeness, Accuracy, and Consistency. These measures help explain how usable and trustworthy the data collected in HMIS is when it comes to open reporting periods or making decisions about how and where to direct systemwide interventions.
We are excited to share with you the first iteration of the HMIS Data Quality Plan for Memphis, available in full here. On this page, you will find crucial information about the data quality plan, insights, and ongoing updates as we work to improve data for annual reporting.
