Unsheltered Point-in-Time Count 2025
What is the Unsheltered Point-in-Time (PIT) Count?
The Unsheltered Point-in-Time count is referred to as a “snapshot” count taking place on a single night in January. It is a HUD-required process organized and facilitated by each region’s Continuum of Care. During the Unsheltered PIT process, volunteers in the community collect information about unsheltered homelessness, which is used by the federal government as the main source of data about the numbers, needs, and demographics of homelessness within a given community. In addition, it is used to determine funding allocation.
The data collected during the Unsheltered PIT Count informs decisions about homelessness services and funding. Federal, state, and local governments use this information to allocate resources, identify service gaps, and develop policies aimed at ending homelessness. Accurate data helps our community understand the trends, challenges, and progress we’re making, enabling us to better target our services and advocate for more funding. By participating in the Unsheltered PIT Count, you contribute to a more informed and coordinated response to homelessness.

Youth Point-in-Time Count 2025
What is the Youth Point-in-Time (PIT) Count?
We know that youth experience homelessness and housing insecurity differently than adults and families. The Youth Point-in-Count attempts to capture the unique experiences of youth and young adults ages 18-24 experiencing housing insecurity in our community. The Youth PIT Count is an annual count of Youth and Young Adults experiencing homelessness in our community.
We need YOUR help to ensure an accurate Youth PIT Count in 2025.
